Salted Lake
02:39
|
|
||
My hand in your hair
That night under the chestnut tree
Now everything's white
Mud, breath and light
The wind starts to fray
Stumbling over the dry bones
Each memory gobbled down
By the rough plain
The great sea of salt lies upon shreds of many hopes
Fading in the pale sand, the wilted cursed grass
I remember horses
Struggling, stuck in this bright marsh
And your clear look
In this bright tomb
My hand in your hand
That night, the last one
Now everything's calm
Tears, wails and dark
The great sea of salt lies upon shreds of many hopes
Fading in the pale sand, the wilted cursed grass

Sisyphus Desert Children
05:58
|
|
||
Dust dancing in the warm draft
A viel on the plain
His last shroud
Windless wings, eyes without horizon
Unchained to the ground
All memories burnt by the sand
Shadows behind smoke
They're his brothers
Can you see them
A sparkle in the white winter
The silver of his fur
A black line
What a long run, what a failed hunt
Trapped in a heart of stones
Buried slowly in a blue hell
Swallowed by frozen
Starving jaws
Can you see him
I put my dreams into your steps
You're so high and
I so low
Hidden by the gods' daughters
Each sleep another tale
Until the dew erase our breathes
When I reach you
You'll become flesh
Can you see me
We're all your children, living and dying
Rolling stones, everlasting

Floating Roots
02:42
|
|
||
A stone in her chest, floating roots to her feet
She grew up with this landscape so still
And this burning wish to go astray
Her freedom was denied the day he took her on his horse
The day he took her in his arms, and gave her to another
No more was said about it
She fought, she faked, she waited
When her lover came from the cold
The morning breeze carried his laughter
The dancin' flakes his whispers
She didn't want the snow to end
She didn't want to talk again
She just went back to sleep
A stone in her chest, floating roots to her feet
She raised up her kids in this anger
and weariness to live in this men's world
Her freedom was denied the day they shot her in her head
The day they shot her in her heart, and wounded her two boys
No more was said about it
She fought, she faked, she waited
When her lover came from the cold
The morning breeze carried his laughter
The dancin' flakes his whispers
She didn't want the snow to end
She didn't want to talk again
She just went back to sleep
Which one is Blue Whirlwind
The one who was windswept
The one who never awoke

The Son of The Earth
04:22
|
|
||
I hadn't touched the ground for a while
When I came down the grass was high
He was wandering in the Cloudy Mountains
I found him he was sleeping on ferns
He sang for me winds and tides, snows and wheats
He sang the fire boiling underneath
My bones tinkled in echo of his voice
For he was the son of the earth
For a moment I belonged to this place
For a moment I shared his raw truth
My blood beating in the rythm of his voice
For he was the son of the earth
I hadn't touched the ground for a while
When I came down the grass was high
I shivered in remembrance of the sounds
I received as an offering to my scars
He sang for me winds and tides, snows and wheats
He sang the fire boiling underneath
My bones tinkled in echo of his voice
For he was the son of the earth
Now when I lie down, head on the ground
I hear stones radiating his inner thoughts
And air whispering with the relics of his voice
For he was the son of the earth

Silent Journey
03:41
|
|
||
I rest in an orchard of light
Full of golden pears
I sleep in a land with no night
Full of blossomed tears
I dance slightly the endless run
Of astral beggars
This is my journey to the sun
Lord among rovers
My blood is made up of waters
Of a thousand rains
My bones are made up of feathers
Fallen with ripe grains
I heal my sorrow to the sound
Of the hourglass bell
This is my journey to the ground
Whose legends I tell
Number the shelters covered by dusk
Name the gentle bright silver haven
Listen to my dreams leading astray
Number the lightnings burning my feet
Name the silent earthquakes in my palms
Listen to my dreams leading astray
I finally see without lies
Our long destiny
This is my journey through your eyes
Where I drown eagerly

Leave
02:39
|
|
||
I once had a family around
I once had a big white house
I once was a good sinner
I choose to leave
Fate has its ways sometimes you can't fit in
I choose to leave
In the chaos of rocks I walked
The white blinding fog I faced
Down the great wave I lay
I choose to leave
Want to see more, run away from more
I choose to leave
When the desert comes to an end
When the sky gets too vast
Whe I choke under the trees
I choose to leave
There is no home for me, nor land for me
I choose to leave
On a lonely day my skinned feet
On a lonely day my scorched eyes
I shall rest in the dim light
On a lonely day I shall leave
There is no home for me, nor land for me
I choose to leave
On a lonely day I shall leave
